The intention of my work is restorative, to support the healing of your injuries and rid you of chronic pain and tension caused by the stress of your daily life. My approach is patient, intuitive and specific, focused on the goal of creating ease and balance as you move through your every day activities.
My work continues to evolve and is grounded in a variety of modalities, including Swedish massage, deep-tissue, myofascial release, trigger point work, and informed by the Chinese meridian system used in shiatsu and acupuncture. The Alexander technique and the Feldenkrais method have also influenced my work, from years of intensive theatre and movement training.
Discounted packages are available for those committed to frequent sessions to alleviate deep-seated postural and movement related conditions.
I'm a 1993 graduate from the Swedish Institute College of Health Sciences in New York City and have certifications in sports and geriatric massage. My twenty-eight years of experience range from the rehabilitative setting, health club and spa to work with artists, athletes, seniors and the HIV community.
Deep Tissue Massage can have a profound effect when practiced by an experienced hand. It reaches deeper layers of muscle to break down knots and relieve pressure points throughout the body.
Swedish Massage provides a circulatory boost. It will melt away muscular tension and increase the blood flow to your heart.
Focused work that addresses specific pathologies and assists in the healing of movement-related injuries, flushes toxins, relieves pain and restores flexibility and full functionality.
